Cartographers: Skills 2 (Mini-Expansion)

The skill cards add a nice twist since you can fill in terrain differently than the normal scoring rules allow. Eight cards doesn't sound like much but they mix into the deck smoothly and change how you plan your turns.

The eight skill cards slot right into the base game and give you fresh ways to fill your map sheet, which keeps solo runs from feeling samey. My wife and I now draft them every time.

I was a little worried the skill cards would complicate my drafting flow, but they slot in seamlessly and genuinely open up new map strategies. The two new scoring objectives on the cards have made my solo games feel fresh again.
