Deciding between the Cartographers Map Pack Collection and buying individual packs? We break down the value, contents, and trade-offs to help you choose.
Quick answer
If you want the full trio of Nebblis, Affril, and Undercity in one box at a lower per-map cost, the Cartographers Map Pack Collection is the better value. Buy individual packs only if you already own some maps or only need one specific realm.
What the Collection includes
The Cartographers Map Pack Collection bundles three previously separate map packs—Nebblis, Affril, and Undercity—into a single package. Each map introduces its own thematic twist and gameplay additions, expanding either the base Cartographers or Cartographers Heroes game. Buying the collection means you get all three at once, with no need to track down separate packaging.
Cost comparison
At a catalog price of USD 16.47 (compared to USD 24.95 for the combined individual packs), the collection saves you roughly 34%. If you plan to play all three maps, the collection is clearly the more economical route. However, if you already own one or two of these maps from earlier purchases, buying the collection would duplicate content you already have.
When individual packs make sense
Individual map packs are still available if you only want a specific realm. For example, if you're only interested in the Undercity's underground scoring rules or only want Affril's volcanic terrain, buying just that one pack avoids paying for maps you won't use. The trade-off is a higher per-map cost and separate packaging.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Cost per map: Collection: ~USD 5.49 per map. Individual packs: ~USD 8.32 per map (based on catalog comparison price). The collection saves about 34% per map.
- Content flexibility: Collection gives you all three maps. Individual packs let you pick only the realms you want. If you only want one map, individual packs avoid paying for extras.
- Packaging and storage: Collection comes in a single box; individual packs each have their own packaging. Collection reduces clutter and is easier to store.
Product facts
- Cartographers: Map Pack Collection: The Cartographers: Map Pack Collection includes three maps (Nebblis, Affril, Undercity) previously sold separately. This means you get a complete set of the three themed expansions in one purchase, saving shelf space and packaging waste.
