Cartographers: Map Pack 4, Frozen Expanse can be played with either Cartographers or Cartographers Heroes.

It includes 75 double-sided new map sheets featuring above pre-scouted spaces and a frozen lake, two new ambush cards, and one new hero card. Players must plan carefully while adhering to new terrain placement requirements and can earn a large bonus for surrounding a lake.

Chill winds howl across the Frozen Expanse, where the Kaiika make their home and fearsome Frost Giants lumber through the snow. Queen Gimnax sent you to this cursed place with the fruits of a past expedition: the torn scraps of a map, partially finished by another cartographer who did not survive the journey. Now it’s up to you to finish mapping the Frozen Expanse with the work of an ill-fated guildfellow to guide your way.

The frozen river and mountain spaces on these map sheets add a brutal but fun decision layer when you're trying to avoid the scouting penalties. My group has played through all 75 double-sided sheets twice now and the variety keeps every round feeling fresh. It slots right into our regular Cartograp

The double-sided sheets with pre-scouted spaces are a real time-saver when we want a quicker setup, and the frozen expanse theme adds a nice twist to our usual rounds. We’ve played it with the base game and it slots in perfectly without any rule confusion. My group’s already asked to play it again t

The pre-scouted spaces on these sheets change how I plan my seasons, which I didn't expect to like as much as I do. Only gripe is that 75 sheets go faster than you'd think if you play weekly. Still, it mixes up the base game nicely.
